Highlights from Jessica Higdon’s Training on Social Media Marketing from #PRS2016

Jessica Higdon #prs2016

As promised I’m sharing the highlights from the Summit and today’s blog feature’s Jessica Higdon’s Training on Social Media Marketing.

Remember – this is true on or off line! “Your smile is your logo. Your personality is your business card. How you leave others feeling after an experience with you becomes your trademark.” Jay Danzie

Your Facebook profile picture, cover photo, about section – ALL are important first impressions that people will see. And many will decide whether or not they want to join you just based on these things.

So here are the highlights:

1. You have to believe in the profession or it’s not going to work.

2. Believe YOU can do it.

3. Put your heart into it for 12 months when you begin so people will see that and believe in YOU and want to join you.

4. There are people who have started out in worse AND better situations. If they can do it, so can you!

5. Brand yourself! People join people. Social media is about being social. Not selling. Good picture on your profile. Have fun!

6. Add 3-5 friends a day on Facebook to grow your reach.

7. Do not spam, post your company link everywhere, add people to groups that you haven’t asked their permission, etc… Be a friend! Build a relationship.

And finally – HAVE FUN! Be Social on social media! Don’t be a hunter. Be a friend.

And you can get the details in my video….

I hope that was helpful and you received value from my notes. If so, please Comment and Share! I’d love to hear from you on what stuck out to you the most!
