Do you struggle to achieve goals?

Let me ask you, do you struggle to achieve goals? Have you ever set a specific short term goal for yourself and realized that you had not even achieved a faction of that goal?

I know I have.

And then, to make matters worse, I don’t know about you – but I then get down on myself and figure why bother? Do you do that?

But with being in the network marketing profession and knowing there are certain goals I need to set – I keep resetting the same goals. I determine that I’m going to reach out to 5 new people a day for the next week. And all of a sudden it’s a week later and I haven’t reached out to 1 person – much less 25!

So if I’m setting goals and not accomplishing them. Then resetting the same goals and not accomplishing them over and over, then that would qualify for the definition of insanity, right? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

So what do I do about it? It would seem I either need to not stop making goals, lessen my goals OR start taking different actions. Well, which is going to benefit me and others the most? Which will lead to success?

I can take the lazy way out or I can figure what I need to change.

The Bible is full of practical guidance and often uses nature as an illustration. This ant illustration is perfect! The ant knows what it has to do to succeed and live another year, so it focuses on that and get it done.

“You lazy fool, look at an ant. Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two. Nobody has to tell it what to do. All summer it stores up food; at harvest it stockpiles provisions. So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing? How long before you get out of bed? A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next? Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, poverty your permanent houseguest!” Proverbs 6:6 – The Message

So, over the next few videos, I want us to talk about what actions we can daily take to actually reach goals that challenge us and not make poverty our permanent houseguest!
